Search for direct CP violation in B → K π , ππ , KK , Quasi - Two - Body B decays and B → K ∗ γ with the BABAR detector at the PEP - II collider ∗

A sample of 23 million BB events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II collider is used in a search for direct CP violation in charmless two-body B decays, quasi two-body B decays, and the radiative penguin decays B → K∗γ. No evidence for direct CP violation is found in the considered modes and 90% confidence level limits are reported. We also present a limit on the branching fraction of the decay B → γγ.
